How does laser hair removal works?

Laser hair removal is an elective treatment thta uses highly concentrated light that goes straight from the laser to the hair follicle, eliminating it.


Lasers are a safe, effective, fast and exciting solution nowadays, and many people prefer it to other methods of getting rid of body hair. Lasers have been used in medical practice for years, and while the technology behind them is complex, the process is surprisingly simple.


What can you expect from your first treatment?

After deciding to undergo laser hair removal, you’ll have a lot of questions.

  • Will it hurt?
  • How my sessions will it take?
  • And when will the results kick in?

Here are some answers that will easy your mind:


Will it hurt?

Laser hair removal is not completely painless. However, we try to minimize any discomfort by using a cooling system on the laser to make it more pleasant for our patients.


You should also consider that, some areas are more sensitive than others, such as the pubic area. In these areas we take special care and gice before and after recommendations so your skin can hold the intense light and remains in top condition after the treatment.


How many sessions will it take?

It will take 6-8 (max. 12) sessions to see a full effect on the skin. Since each hair follicle is in a different stage of growth, it is important to remain consistent with each session.


When will the results kick in?

Just like with any other cosmetic procedure, the length of time to achieve desired results is going to vary from person to person.

That said, and while it can take up to six laser hair removal sessions to see results, you should start noticing hair growth reduction after the first three treatments.


One of the first things you'll notice if any hair grows back, is that a softer kind, almost unnoticeable.


Key things to remember before your laser hair removal:

  1. The focus area should be shaved clean for the laser to work on the skin. We recommend doing it with a manual razor, not electrical since it makes the hair grow longer. No twizzing, waxing or plucking since it makes the skin even more sensitive to heat.
  2. You skin should be free of make-up, sunscreen, lotion, deodorant, or any other chemical substance.
  3. You must wait at least 4 weeks to get laser hair removal treatment if you've exposed your skin to the sun.
  4. After the treatment you must wait at least 48 hours to go to the gym, sauna or perform any other activity that involves heat and sweat.


Laser hair removal is the most effective way to get rid of unwanted hair and leave your skin smooth and soft.
